AgriSea at Te Arawa Arataua Agribusiness Summit

AgriSea NZ was proud to participate in the Te Arawa Arataua Agribusiness Summit, an important gathering focused on sustainable agribusiness development within Te Arawa rohe (tribal area).

Aligning with Māori Values

Our seaweed-based biostimulants align naturally with Māori values of kaitiakitanga (guardianship of the land and sea). The sustainable harvesting of seaweed from Paeroa's coastline and its transformation into products that enhance soil health represents a circular approach that honours both Tangaroa (god of the sea) and Papatūānuku (earth mother).

Supporting Regenerative Practices

At the summit, we discussed how AgriSea products support regenerative farming practices that:

• Build soil mauri (life force) through enhanced microbiology
• Reduce reliance on synthetic inputs
• Improve farm resilience and sustainability
• Support the wellbeing of both land and farmers

The summit provided valuable opportunities to connect with Māori agribusiness leaders and discuss how AgriSea can support their farming aspirations while maintaining cultural values and environmental stewardship.
